Activant catalog added to ASA Tire Systems software

Tire dealers and repair shops using TireMaster business management software will have a means to access a comprehensive auto parts catalog, thanks to Activant Solutions' Integrated Service Estimator (ISE).

The announcement was made Tuesday during Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week. The Web-based ISE system will give users one-click access to the Activant PartExpert database of 7.9 million parts, covering 148.5 million applications.

This Web-based solution pulls together labor and parts information together for those tire repair companies that want to make the transition into general vehicle service.

With all of the company’s offerings, one distinct goal remains, says Senior Vice President, automotive, Tom Aliotti: to get information into the hands of the end-user.

“We are providing more end points for WDs and jobbers as customers,” he says.

And now that Activant integrates registration data from such data providers as R.L. Polk & Co. and Experian, this goal has become more focused, he adds. “It’s all about enabling this supply chain.”

Activant also has announced that it is extending its suite of full channel intelligence solutions to the thousands of parts counters and service desks. The company’s replacement parts database and eCatalog solutions are used at nearly 30,000 automotive “decision points” across North America, Activant adds.

“The winners in most businesses are those who know the customer best,” Aliotti says. “In the aftermarket that means having the information necessary to sell the right part at the right price and the right place and time. Thanks to the broad acceptance of Activant data and eCatalogs and the increased sophistication of our aftermarket data warehouse, we can now close the gap between what our customers believe they should carry and what their markets really need.”
