LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2007) — CRP Industries Inc. unveiled its new Rein Automotive brand at AAPEX this week. Rein Automotive is the new umbrella brand covering a range of OE-quality replacement parts that the company has already been supplying for several years. Rein (which is German for "pure") will cover an air conditioning program of condensers, electrical, evaporators, expansion valves, hose assemblies, receivers/driers and accumulators; cabin air filters; and an under car program of anti-vibration parts, axle boot kits, suspension parts and wheel bearings, and bearing kits. "We only bring in high quality or OE quality products as it comes to form, fit and function," said Mike Palm, vice president of marketing for CRP.
CRP also introduced the new Pro Series ContiTech Timing Kit, a complete OE-quality timing belt change kit that includes the belts, idlers, tensioners (including hydraulic, if applicable) and the water pump (if driven by the timing belt). According to CRP, by replacing the related components while the belt is being replaced, repairers can assure the system will operate and perform correctly for the life of the belt. These components have to be removed during belt replacement, "so why not replace the water pump when you replace the timing belt?" said Palm. Replacing the water pump and related components provides a better service to the customer, with only an incremental increase in labor. "To change a water pump once you're already in there, we're talking 10, 15 minutes," said David Hirschhorn, product development, with CRP. The initial launch of the Timing Kit program will consist of 30 kits covering more than 160 vehicle applications for import and domestic makes. The kit components are covered by a lifetime guarantee, based on the vehicle manufacturers' recommended change interval for the belt. |
