Bendix taps Johnson as aftermarket VP

Source: Aftermarket Business

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems has promoted Bob Johnson to vice president of aftermarket sales & marketing. Johnson, a 20-year Bendix veteran, most recently served as director of marketing and communications.

In his new role, Johnson will develop and lead Bendix’s aftermarket sales and marketing push, including the development of programs aimed at capitalizing on new and existing business opportunities, said the company.

"Bob is an accomplished and experienced professional focused on achieving long-term, bottom-line results," said Joe McAlesse, president & CEO. "In partnership with our aftermarket regional sales directors and integrated marketing support team, Bob will help drive continuous growth plans for our customers and our business. Bob’s vision will continue to help Bendix move firmly down the path of growth, achievement, and quality performance. I’m confident he will be an effective complement to our existing leadership team."

Johnson succeeds John Flad, who held the VP position for more than a decade, before retiring on March 31.
