The Pep Boys – Manny, Moe & Jack, the nation's leading automotive aftermarket service and retail chain, announced that it recently opened a new service and tire center located at 1020 Summit Street in Elgin, Ill.

“We are very excited to be expanding Pep Boys by leading with our service business,” says Senior Vice President of Corporate Development Joe Cirelli. “Opening a service and tire center in Elgin as a complement to our existing supercenters in the surrounding area means we will be able to serve and satisfy customers in this neighborhood easily and conveniently.”

Open to the public as of September 30, this new service and tire center is over 6,200 square feet with eight service bays. Services from maintenance and repair to tire installation are available, along with a small assortment of retail merchandise, service-related items and convenience products.

To celebrate this new service and tire center, a grand opening event will take place this winter. During the event, Elgin community members will be invited to join in the celebration and receive discounted services, among other promotions and free giveaways.

This service and tire center joins 22 other Pep Boys stores in the Chicago area.

Pep Boys has approximately 6,000 service bays and over 570 stores in 35 states and Puerto Rico. Along with its vehicle maintenance and repair capabilities, the Company also serves the commercial auto parts delivery market and is one of the leading sellers of replacement tires in the United States.
