Precision offers online catalog

Source: Aftermarket Business

Precision has released a new, online catalog that enables distributors to find the exact replacement part number they need for virtually any hub assembly, bearing, seal, CV driveshaft, differential rebuild kit, trailer wheel repair kit and more – anytime, any day.

Powered by a robust database management system, the online catalog is comprised of over 5,000 part numbers covering applications for the most popular cars, light trucks and SUVs on the road. Users can search for products by application year, make, model and engine, or cross-reference their existing part number to find the Precision equivalent. While the most extensive coverage is for 1980-2009 models, the catalog also offers select coverage for 1965-1980 models.

“Even though we will continue to offer print or downloadable catalogs, customers prefer the convenience of using our online version,” says Precision vice president of sales. “What’s more, print catalogs start becoming obsolete the day they come off the press. Updates to our online catalog, however, are made on a regular basis, assuring that distributors always have access to the latest product information.”

Featuring detailed information on every Precision product, the new site provides distributors with a single reference point, making it easier for them to service their customers’ needs.

Precision is a subsidiary of Bearing Technologies LLC, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and private labelers of wheel hub assemblies and clutch release, racing, repair and specialty bearings. Both companies provide a high degree of value-added content through specialized and custom packaging options, consistently high fill rates and quick order turn.

They also offer extensive product validation testing, resulting in products meeting the highest quality standards. Products are engineered and manufactured to customers’ specifications in ISO 9001:2000 or TS16949 certified facilities and delivered on a just-in-time basis, eliminating excess inventories while controlling labor and assembly costs.
